A little romance

I'm in love with printmaking. It makes me very happy to walk into the studio and for it to smell all inky.

It's a wonderful thing to love what you do - and to get to spend time doing it. Even if I question how many hours need to be in each day.

The Market  was wonderful for meeting some fantastic makers, and some delightful buyers (a necessity to 'the art' - without buyers there would be no new ink :-( )

Finally got the set-up for the stall sorted - and having a table in the centre of the room, not against a wall I was delighted to have painted up the whole display stand... not just the front.

Fantastic to see peoples' reaction to the work; what they want a closer look at, what they buy. So far sales at fairs are different to sales on Etsy or Folksy . This is good, this gives more variety to the work and gives me the confidence to work on new designs.

Speaking of new designs. After years of playing with this image the "key to my heart" design is finally printed. Simple, black, classic and designed to be suitable for either gender to give or receive. This is a sneak-peek but it will be available for sale v v soon.

In preparation for the Out of the Blue arts market (on December 1st ) I have collected a large selection of frames and will be selling signed FRAMED PRINTS for the first time. Perfect for Christmas presents, or to treat yourself. Each frame will have been lovingly upcycled and painted to suit my work. Cannot wait.

It's all go in the run-up to Christmas.
Have a very happy hand-made time shopping!
